Enlisted: I have tried countless times to get CO-OP working and it just doesn’t work, after starting a public matchmaking, the game loads up, but soon after it shortly exits on its own back to desktop, without ever presenting anything but the LOADING icon on the bottom right. And I sure as hell doubt there’s going to be a fix for it. But how hard could it be to just make all the CO-OP unlock weapons available for everyone now? But maybe it is something on my end and CO-OP games still happen and people occasionally get their 6 unlocks within a short while of playing, I don’t know that, so I’m asking everyone else here, is CO-OP broken as hell now and not working, due to no one playing or whatever, or does it still work but its rare that out of 3 difficulty settings and about 5 levels that you manage to find an actual recipient for the public match? I’ve never really had a problem getting into a public match, unless the other person got tired of waiting and quit before it loaded.
EA won’t charge for Battlelog with Battlefield 3

is when things seriously kicked off for @Battlefield! Who remembers the ‘Fault Line’ series for #Battlefield3? Even now, BF3 still looks incredible on PC.
The first time I launched Battlefield 3 on Windows, a browser window appeared with the Battlefield website. What initially seemed like a bad idea to most PC gaming enthusiasts including myself is now growing on me. In fact, this may actually be a sign of PC gaming evolving for the better. For most current PC games, playing them involves finding and launching it from the Start menu full of other applications, sit through unnecessarily long and repetitive logos and introduction videos, wait for menus to load before waiting again for the actual game to load.
Compound that with fancy but poor faux-user interfaces, everything besides the game can be rather tedious. Granted the current beta of the game and website is undeniably buggy , by having the actual game and its out-of-game management tasks clearly separated not only by design but by code, it also allows the game developers to fix one without relying on the other like they have already.
Teasing gameplay footage, pimping of the Frostbite 2 tech, and lots of video with distorted bass were common themes in the past few months. However, it also comes with its fair share of critics. It is said that its single player is weak and uninspiring; using Battlelog is an awkward experience; and the initial server downtime hurt early multiplayer gamers.

What’s the deal with the matchmaking?
Last year, Swedish-based developers Digital Illusions CE set out to launch not just a game, but an experience—an ever-changing and evolving experiment, if you will—which would serve as a platform from which future Battlefield titles would stem. More than a year after the release, after more than a year of patches, updates, rule-changes and several massive expansions, how has Battlefield 3 held up? Battlefield 3 was built to last. Bearing this in mind, it might still be too early to peek into the looking glass and speculate the future of the Battlefield franchise.
But having passed the one-year mark, perhaps a bit of debriefing is in order. What has worked and what has not?
Now, Battlefield 3 is finally upon us, and it’s certainly doing well so far: several game It is said that its single player is weak and uninspiring; using Battlelog is an statistics, matchmaking, capabilities, a server browser and game launcher.
While Battlefield 3 will be more polished on the PC with more benefits like graphics, FPS frame count not the genre and 64 player support but it is now confirmed that Battlefield 3 on the PC will use Battlelog to let you choose servers, basically you will have to pick a server from the web browser and then start the game. While this may be cumbersome for the PC community the ALPHA did show off Battlelog pretty well and I have to say it did run well but in the long run it could be a bit of a nuisance.
In an interesting turn of events it is now confirmed that Battlefield 3 will have an in-game server browser on the console version of the game but those of you on the PC will have to start a web browser, pick a server, start the game and then join the server. This is a bit of an awkward situation for the PC gamers as it should be the other way around where the console version gets matchmaking similar to that of Battlefield Bad Company 2 on the consoles and the PC community should get the in-game server browser.
I consider this a small price to pay for all the other benefits gained from the PC version of the game but an in-game server browser would have been more suited for such a magnificent game wouldn’t you agree? Battlelog isn’t bad or anything but I mean a PC game without an in-game server browser just doesn’t feel right, don’t you guys agree? By Rizwan Anwer.

Softly spoken and ridiculously articulate, Karl Magnus Troedsson is a calming interviewee. Underneath the calm surface, though, is a master of destruction. Karl is the vice president and general manager at Digital Illusions, CE, or DICE, the developers behind the building-collapsing, gun-toting, player and stunningly realistic Battlefield 3.
Battlefield 3 Premium Edition (Xbox ): : PC & Video Games. NEVER GO INTO BATTLE ALONE: Battlelog delivers powerful new community.
They went through all this trouble of forcing Origin down our throats their wannabe Steam-like online gaming platform, which you have to use to play Battlefield 3 regardless of whether you got the digital or retail copy of the game , but then they have you go through their browser-based Battlelog website for multiplayer matchmaking, friends lists, etc. And none of them work without the other being open and functioning, obviously.
To top it all off, the whole thing is more cumbersome in a browser window, since you have to load a different page each time you want to navigate the interface. And like I said, when one piece fails, the whole thing stops working properly. Having so many different facets required for online play just increases the chances that something is going to go wrong and hang up the whole process, and believe me when I say that it constantly does.
Perhaps I would find it easier to understand this format if matchmaking through Battlelog worked well, but it does not.
No Server Browser in BF3?
In the wake of the announcement of the Call of Duty Elite subscription fee over the weekend, many wondered if EA’s similar Battlelog service for Battlefield 3 would follow a similar pattern, offering matchmaking, friends lists and voice over IP features for free, with a layer of premium extras for paying customers. EA have told Industry Gamers that, as far as Battlefield 3 is concerned, Battlelog will be entirely free.
Read more: Battlefield 5 review. The Battlefield series has always been about playing with friends, and Battlelog takes that experience to the next level by serving as a unique social network. Video game publishing juggernaut Electronic Arts is skipping E3 this year, the biggest annual video game trade show event, and they’re doing so to host their own big event for fans and media. Battlefield 3 launched to critical praise from game journalists, but as with most online-based games, once the public jumped into the fray several issues surfaced. EA’s servers had trouble accommodating the heavy demand, and many people decried the new web-based Battlelog service. Now that the game’s been patched a couple times, we checked in to see how the game is performing.
Battlefield 3 debuted at the number three spot on the Xbox Live activity report issued by Major Nelson each week. It rose to the number two spot the following week, but has since dropped into the fourth slot behind Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops, and Skyrim. Battlefield games rarely have major balancing issues, and many of the more annoying issues that plagued other entries like chopper circle strafing in Bad Company 2 are resolved in this iteration.
One issue that bares mentioning, however, is mortar spamming. The only way to take them out is to counter-mortar, but in hardcore matches the overzealous spamming results in way too many deaths. Overall the map selection feels like a step back from previous Battlefield games, mostly because DICE is trying to appeal to both its traditional fan base and new players more accustomed to playing close-quarters battles. The Battlefield 3 maps offer a variety of both, but far too many of them have control points positioned too closely together in conquest mode.
This concentrates the battles so there is less long distance running to firefights — which isn’t a bad thing — but too many maps devolve into corridor firefights at strategic choke points. Judging from the fan response in the forums, the maps that embrace the larger environments and include more vehicles — like Caspian Border and Kharg Island — seem to be the most popular.
That’s probably not a coincidence.
